The programme for the day was:
- JACKSON CHALLENGE TROPHY: 2 sighters & 10 to count at 300 & 500 yards, a.m.
- LOVESY CHALLENGE BOWL: 2 sighters & 10 to count at 600 yards, p.m.
- LONG RANGE TROPHY: 2 sighters & 10 to count at 900 yards, p.m.
- PRESIDENT’S PRIZE, the Championship: best aggregate score for the day.
Disappointingly, only six members were able to make it to this important event. Nevertheless, they enjoyed a very pleasant day’s shooting in benign conditions marred only by a couple of light showers. The results of the competitions were:
| Competition | Winner | Score |
| The Jackson | R A Welford | 99.12 |
| The Lovesy | D J King | 50.6 |
| The Long Range | D J King | 50.8 |
| The President’s Prize | D J King | 198.24 |
Aficionados will recognise that these scores are good, which may reflect the conditions to some extent. It is worth noting that Rob Welford also scored 50.6 in the Lovesy, but was counted out, and was a very close second in the Presidents Prize with 198.21. Remarkably, five of those present scored 49 or over at 900 yards, as follows:
| Andrew Black | 49.5 |
| Ted Eilley | 49.7 |
| David King | 50.8 |
| Rob Pile | 49.4 |
| Rob Welford | 49.3 |
